The Payette Lakes Ski Club will be offering after school programs this year for grades K/1-6 beginning January 8, 2013. The programs will run from 3:45 to 5:00, 3 days per week for eight weeks. Programs to be offered include beginner and advanced skiing and snowboarding, and new this year, freeride and audiovisual! Come be part of the 75th Anniversary at the Little Ski Hill!
After School Ski and Snowboard Programs
The beginner/intermediate program focuses on learning the basics of skiing/snowboarding and developing the beginning rider. The Advanced program focuses on improving riding abilities and includes introduction to terrain parks, jumping, running gates and riding off trail. The ski program will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The snowboard program will run on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and snowboarders must be in first grade or above.
The cost for these programs is $300. This includes a season pass, locker rental, transporation to the hill, instruction, and coaching. There is a $50 discount if parents committ to volunteering one day per week for the eight week session.
After School Freeride Program
The freeride program is the next level after students have completed the advanced skiing/snowboarding programs. This program focuses on providing training for skier and boarder cross, slope style, and freestyle skiing. The freeride program will run on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The cost for this program is $300. This includes a season pass, locker rental, transporation to the hill, instruction, and coaching. There is a $50 discount if parents committ to volunteering one day per week for he eight week session.
Audiovisual Club
The audiovisual club is designed to introduce kids to photography and cinematography in outdoor sports. Participants in the program will take pictures and videos, and then edit them to create highlight films and program edits. Students interested in this program must be in middle school or above, and should contact Colby at Colby@littleskihill.org or (208) 315-2521. The audiovisual program will run on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The cost for this program is $150.
